Trish Wright, founder of the 10 Better Foundation, has had a career surrounded by the most creative of individuals.

She started in consumer research at Foote, Cone & Belding Advertising, finished her MBA, and landed on the account team launching Fancy Feast cat food. From there she moved to Mattel, where she helped run the Barbie business with an incredible team in the late ’80s moving the brand from around $350MM in sales to just under $1Bish. She was also a big advocate for Rollerblade Barbie—who “starred” in the recent blockbuster Barbie movie.

Next came video games. Trish held senior positions at Activision and Interplay Productions, where she was VP of Product Development and ran the product development department during the creation of the original Fallout. Almost 30 years later, Fallout is an Amazon series, and she is thrilled for the amazing design team and that their baby still matters.

After becoming a Mommy to two sassy girls, Trish said good bye to corporate America. She started a local tax preparation firm, Ameri Tax Service, and has spent the past 25 years serving the good people of Long Beach, CA.

Now Trish is looking ahead and has no particular interest in becoming an unproductive “senior.” She is looking to give back and help American’s come together again (and well yes, she also wants to travel and hike).

So she is putting her efforts into the 10 Better Foundation. The idea behind it is pretty simple: If we all did just 10% more to help those around us, what an amazing impact we would have!

Malgosia, (the Polish equivalent of Margaret), is a 3-year veteran of our 7th Street office. She is our resident bookkeeper and Quick Book Expert. Why does she like being a tax accountant so much? Because she gets to go back home to visit her family every summer. Fortunately, bookkeeping is generally a cloud-based business and her client-service doesn’t skip a beat.

Malgosia, comes to us with her degree in accounting and finance from the University of Poland.

Meet Michael Arnold. He joined Ameri Tax Service right after covid ended. He  comes to us with his Bachelors in Accounting from Cal State University Long Beach and the VITA tax assistant program. He is very good at untangling tax situations.  You can request Michael for everything from EZ returns to discussing your business entity structure, rentals, and businesses and single member LLCS ranging from Uber/Lyft to graphic design and realtors.

Meet Rafael Villegas. He comes to us from Cal State University Fullerton with his Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. He has spent time preparing taxes at the Vita program as well as at the full service accounting organization CBIZ. In his spare time, Rafael likes to work on his car, bowl and hang with his family.
